Last year after my September workshop these lovelies came out of the pot made up of leftover leaves:

This silk singlet in particular had many admirers:

I then spent the next 2 months trying to narrow down what factors had caused my beloved Tallow Wood to print so brightly.  After my most recent workshop, while using up more leftover leaves I produced this scarf:

With a DIFFERENT leaf!  So maybe the factor in question was the leaf itself!

However looking at the side by side comparison of these two scarves, each featuring one of the two leaves, nothing is certain.

These two scarves are amongst the latest additions to my Etsy shop.  I’m just going to keep enjoying the chaotic magic of Eco Dyeing, and leave the headaches scientific experimentation to other, braver souls!
