I ran my first Eco Dyeing Workshop for the year last weekend.
I had a great group of people who listened well and worked hard, achieving excellent results. They did however have trouble with the term “Last Bundle”. And while all students quickly become very enthusiastic, Joanna is the first student I’ve actually had running between the work room and the pots!

Elizabeth with her wonderful experiment. I was amazed that I also managed to capture the 2 super speed students, Joanna and Layla on film!

There were several needle workers in the group so we had a talked quite a bit on Boro, sashiko, and Chiku Chiku, and how they could be applied to our Eco dyed pieces. Several of us had been lucky enough to see the inspiring Akiko Ike when she was the guest artist at the Quilt and Craft Show.
