To the top of the Mountain

So After 20 years of marriage Matt has worked out that planning excursions never works for us.  Instead he came in after I’d had a good Saturday sleep in and suggested we pack a lunch and walk up Mt Coot-tha.  He may have also mentioned the option of gathering leaves so in my sleep addled state I agreed.

He had planned to time the walk, however when I stopped to photograph a leaf as soon as we passed the sign for the bush walking track he decided it would be a pointless exercise.

Then we both got distracted by the rocks in the riverbed.

Someone else got very creative in the river bed.

When we finally we made it to the top we found a Scrub Turkey building his mound. Wonder if he is planning to claim Mt Coot-tha as part of it.
