After my workshop at Qld Spinners my giant pot stayed behind to make the trip up to Mapleton for the QSWFA annual camp.
I had been invited to run a mini workshop on Saturday 1st of August and decided to stay on an join the camp having not been on a similar adventure since high school. AS soon as possible on the Friday I disappeared of on the Bush Walking Trail in search of leaves for the pot. It is a beautiful place, you very quickly feel like you are deep in the rain forest with the sounds of nature and the cries of native birds taking over.
The leaves …
OH THE LEAVES!!!
The pot is quickly filled by keen participants on Saturday
and Sunday morning they were impatiently waiting on the unveiling
After a comment from Erica on Saturday I began work on an experiment on a piece of lovely felt from Charly of Ixchel Bunny …
It was a wonderful weekend full of great people and new friendships. I cant wait for next year!
PS thank you to the vivacious Chraly for mentioning me in her wrap up of the camp!
