A day at the beach

This past weekend Mum and I drove up to Caloundra so I could run a workshop for the Caloundra Textile & Fibre Arts Group. It was held at the Caloundra Arts Centre, a great facility. In the garden were several excellent totems.

Yes those books are clay! Mum has already made 2 totem poles for her garden, I think I’m feeling inspired.Loved these little guys too.

It was a large class, 16 on Saturday and 15 on Sunday and they were all very keen and ready to experiment with both colour …

and binding techniques. In this example Gail used assorted rocks.

The pots got quite the work out.

Thank you Julie & Anne for these images of the wind in the leaves. I had a wonderful weekend with you all, I just didn’t get time to take pictures!

Mum and I did make time to visit the Centre’s Gift Shop, full of artworks from the resident Groups. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Caloundra … although it now has rather less pottery!!

A great weekend. Nat should be complimented for keeping us all on track but still allowing us to experiment and have fun

Wow! Wow! Wow! had the best time and you made it all so simple. Even though I was only able to attend one day at my craft centre – CACA.
Thank you so much Natalie and look forward to doing further workshops with you 🙂 Karen.S
